Mitochondrial Uncoupling
AG is starting his work in the Kolling lab by learning the principles of and procedures for tun formation assays and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy from Brendin Flinn and Trace Clark. In particular, AG will be extending upon Brendin and Trace’s work by investigating how the mitochondrial uncoupling agent 2,4-dinitrophenol (DNP) affects tardigrade tun formation and superoxide production.
